Sharon Whitaker Obituary

Sharon Kay Whitaker, 79, of Farmland, IN, passed away Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 peacefully while in the company of family members at residence. Sharon was born in Muncie, IN, on February 25, 1940 a daughter of the late Clara (Johnson) and Everett Charlton. She was a 1958 graduate of Eaton High School and the widow of Jack Whitaker. Sharon was a member of Farmland Christian Church and enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening, blue grass and country music, antiquing, and going to family gatherings. Sharon is survived by two daughters; Christi, and Sandy, a son; Terry, three brothers; Ron, Forest, Denny Sr., four grandchildren; Summer, Savanah, Sophia, Chloe and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Randy, daughter Tina, brother Lyden, and sisters Garrie and Carmen. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie, IN. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel.
