Mrs. DeLoach became a Christian at an early age at Pine Level Baptist Church, Grays, SC. She openly shared her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with her customers, employees, family and friends. She was known for being a good listener, a great cook, a mother to many extended family and community members, and the epitome of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31. Mrs. DeLoach was a charter member of West End Baptist Church, Hampton, SC, where she served in many capacities. She had presently been an active member of the church's benevolent food committee, and the Ladies Sunday School Class. She also served many years as a Sunday School and Worship Service Nursery worker.
Mrs. DeLoach leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Roma (Johnny) Muller, Gilbert, SC, Charles DeLoach, Hampton, SC, Alice (Sandy) Sales, Aiken, SC, Krissie (Broadus) Taylor, Leesville, SC; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Chuck) DeLoach, Carla (Troy) Wheeler, Amanda (Gabe) Brown, Joni (Tim) Rabon, John (Ashley) Muller, Shelby (Stephen) Gaskill, Andrew Seigler and Jacob Seigler; six great-grandchildren, Connor, Caroline and Parker Brown, Lexi and Emily DeLoach, and Noah Gaskill; one brother, Marvin Crosby; seven sisters, Lillie Maude Terry, Ella Mae Smith, Mildred Shipes, Sally Smith, Agnes Peeples, Ellen Wilson and Lydia Breland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Aiken DeLoach Sr.; her oldest grandson, Charles "Chuck" Aiken DeLoach III; sisters, Lorraine Eckley, Marguerite Smith, Linda Crosby; brothers, Lloyd Crosby and Bernard Crosby; and her beloved sisters-in-law, Lillian DeLoach, Roma Terry, Vera DeLoach, Annie DeLoach, Aileen DeLoach and Jenny Crosby.
The family requests that memorials be made to: West End Baptist Church, 1049 Elm Street West, Hampton, SC, 29924.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at West End Baptist Church, 1049 Elm Street West, Hampton, SC. Officiating will be Rev. Johnny Muller, Rev. Larry Smith, and Rev. Barney Tuten. A graveside service will follow in Smith Cemetery, Varnville, SC.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2012, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes, Varnville-Hampton Chapel, 1074 Yemassee Highway, Varnville, 803.943.5016; www.briceherndonfuneralhome.com.

Krissie, Mrs. Roma and family. I loved Mrs. DeLoache. I will cherish the fond memories of visits from our earlier years when I visited in Hampton.
