Blake Tillman Obituary
Mr. Tillman was born in Elgin, SC, on July 27, 1931. He was the son of the late Sherman Tillman, Sr., and Pauliene Nelson Tillman. He was employed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health at Crafts Farrow State Hospital where he dedicated 30 years of service, retiring in 1983. Mr. Tillman also ran a successful landscaping business for more than 40 years providing expert service to many residents and businesses in Columbia, SC.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Alma Worthy Tillman; daughter, Judy (Sammie) Taylor; sons, Blake Tillman, Jr., Michael (Dana) Tillman, Ronald (Theresa) Tillman, and Danny Tillman; sisters, Recia (Ben) McCall and Nora Mae (Nathaniel) Hayes; 9 grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

God has taken another of his servants to be with him. Many of patients and staff have knowm his love and devotion. having worked with him for many years at Crafts-Farrow State Hospital,he was a man of pride and service. His service to the mentallyy challenged will long be remembered.
