I just finished reading the book "We Survived the Holocaust", the book of Bluma and Felix's story of their survival of the holocaust. A very moving story. I urge everyone to read it.

I still remember Bluma. I worked at the bank she used and it was always a pleasure to wait on her. She was gentle and always kind.

I just found out about your mother's death. I want to convey my sympathies. I was a teller at the Trenholm Plaza NBSC/Synovus bank. She was a very gracious lady.

I did not know Mrs. Goldberg, but reading her obituary makes me wish that I had known her. I found myself instantly weeping when I read that she had found her sister here in Columbia, and was able to move and live near her for the rest of their lives. Although I know her family will miss her physical presence, what an incredible life she led, what a legacy she leaves! I celebrate that she represents the kind of folks who make up our community.

It was my honor to have known Bluma. She was a Giant among giants. It was also my pleasure to have known her.
To all of her children go my heartfelt sympathy.

I will always treasure my time with Bluma when she so graciously gave her testimony for the Shoah Foundation. Among other memories of that testimony is the story of the apple that saved her sister's life. Bluma was a courageous and special lady. May her memory be for a blessing. My love to all of the family.

I met this beautiful lady in the 80's. She was full of grace, beauty and love. Her testimony is one of courage, faith and determination and one that I will never forget. My condolences to her family and friends. I know she will be missed but the legacy she leaves behind will keep her memory alive forever. The lives she has touched will forever be grateful for the love she shared.
