Bonnlyn W. Hollis COLUMBIA Funeral service for Bonnlyn W. Hollis, 71, of Columbia, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Doug Benton. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Hollis was born in Columbia. She was a daughter of the late Alfred Windham and Leah Taylor Windham. She was a longtime member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Dentsville High School class of 1959, retired as a Medical Unit Secretary with the Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital, an Infant Teacher at the Corn Crib Day Care center known by all the kids as "Aunt Bonnie", and a volunteer Crew Member at the Rehoboth food pantry. Surviving are daughters, Sonya LaRose (Jimmy) of Columbia; son, Kenny Hollis of Columbia; grandchildren, Hayley Morgan and Jake Morgan; sister, Beverly Gerald (Loran) of Gilbert; brothers, Wilbur and Gabby Windham both of Columbia; Charlie Windham of Houston TX and Durham Windham of Pawley's Island; as well as a number of nieces and nephews are surviving.
