Carrie Lee Gresham COLUMBIA - The Homegoing Service for Ms. Carrie Lee Gresham will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Greenview First Baptist Church, 101 Isaac Street, Columbia, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home, 2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia, has been entrusted with the arrangements. The visitation for Ms. Gresham will be held this evening at the funeral home from 6-7:00 p.m. Carrie Lee (Williams) Gresham was born in Washington, Georgia, the first child of the late Tom and Ludella Williams. She passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the age of 93. Carrie was raised in Marietta, Georgia with her 10 younger siblings. She and her late husband, Willie Lee Gresham, Sr., were blessed with nine children. She has been an active member of Greenview First Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina for over 55 years. She was a also a member of The United Order of Tents, worked for Lockheed Martin building bomber planes in WWII, and as a seamstress for the soldiers at Fort Jackson. She is survived by, her children: Gary (Birdie) Gresham, Gerald "Buster" (Essie) Gresham, Sandra (Hosea) Mercer, Brenda Gresham, Sharon Gibson, Wanda Price and Linda Gresham; her siblings, Rev. Rose Marie Emerson and George (Francis) Williams; sisters-in-law, Shirley Williams and Etta Williams; daughter-in-law, Mary Gresham; 28 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, Booker, Mays and Moore family.
