Charlie McLaughlin Obituary

Charlie L. McLaughlin CASSATT Funeral service for Charlie L. McLaughlin, 82, will be held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Freedom Outreach Baptist Church with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Trent McLaughlin and the Rev. Robert Ridley will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Freedom Outreach Baptist Church, 1113 Hwy 1 North, Cassatt, SC 29032. Mr. McLaughlin passed away at home on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Born in Cassatt, he was a son of the late Steve Loranza and Emmie Alma Raley McLaughlin. He served in the United States Army and retired from DuPont. He was a member Freedom Outreach Baptist Church and enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Blanche Eleanor McNeely McLaughlin; daughters, Adele Truesdale of Cassatt, and Melisa Truesdale of Heath Springs; son, Rev. Trent McLaughlin of Lancaster; sister, Ella Catherine Teal; brother, Steve McLaughlin; grandchildren, Shanna Fenchel, Charleigh Funderburk, Chas McLaughlin and Marlee McLaughlin; and great-grandchildren, Luke Funderburk, Jayce Funberburk and Harper Fenchel.
