Camden, South Carolina - Funeral services for David Lathan Cole, 81, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 607 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020. Rev. Steve Lee will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, 1 hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
David, the son of the late Albert J. and Gladys Dorian Cole, was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 14, 1941 and died on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. David was an avid deer hunter, sports fan, and above all loved his Lord, family, and church dearly.
David is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Brenda Padgett Cole; son David Brent Cole of Camden, SC; daughters Lorrie-Ann Scudder (Keith) of Sumter, SC, and Terry Lynn Higgins (David) of Camden, SC; grandchildren Austin Cole Higgins, Hannah Cole Peake (Matthew), Nicholas Keith Scudder, Mackenzie Higgins Wall (Rob), Sydney Jane Scudder; and great-grandchildren Robert Easterling Wall, V (Easton) and Colton James Peake (Colt).
The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Todd Alderson and his loving staff and to Dr. Gordon Pennebaker and his staff.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
