Mr. Eargle went to be with his Lord Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Irby R. Eargle and Dorothy Buff Eargle. Mr. Eargle was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as an automotive mechanic. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was an Eagle Scout. He received the Lamb Award, the Silver Beaver and Order of the Arrow.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Ann Eargle of Lexington; sons, Don Rial Eargle II (Toni) of Lexington, Michael L. Smith (Betty) of Irmo, and Russell L. Smith (Tammy) of Lexington; sister, Sylvia Allen (Joel) of Boise, ID; brother, Lynn Eargle (Charlene) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Noah Eargle, Amanda and Dawson Smith, Kimberly McMillion (Brian), Taylor and Brandon Wright.
