Donald Rhymer Obituary

Donald Jason Rhymer ELGIN - Mr. Donald Jason Rhymer, "DJ", 31, of Elgin, SC, died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Born in Camden, SC, he was the son of Mathew Edward Rhymer and Mary Kirkland Rhymer. Donald was a member of the National Rifle Association, and loved animals. Memorials may be made in his memory to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020. In addition to his parents, Donald is survived by one sister, Sally Romero (Joseph) of New Mexico, and one brother, Mathew Edward Rhymer, Jr. of Michigan, and numerous other family members. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Hattie Kirkland, and his paternal great-grandmother, Mildred Crout. A visitation for Mr. Rhymer will be held Sunday, June 9th, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM. Very sorry to hear this news... had a lot of memories with Dj, he was a close friend and we lost touch after a while, as we all so often do... He will be remembered for all the good times! my heart goes out to his parents who loved him unconditionally...
