Dorothy Shirley Timms DARLINGTON - Dorothy Shirley Timms, 86, of Darlington, went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2013, at McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Timms was born in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Aiken Samuel Shirley and Willie Mae Kernells Shirley. She retired as a clerical worker from The DuPont Savannah River Plant after 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of sixty-two years, Jesse C. Timms, Jr., and her brother, Jerry Shirley. Surviving are her sons, Sam (Carol) Timms of Sebring, FL, Michael Timms of Florence, SC, and Pat Timms of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Allison Timms, Austin (Abe) White, Robert (Grace) Timms, Sarah Beth (John) Baiden, and Jarod Timms; and four great-grandchildren, Abraham and Anderson White, and Carson and James Wade Timms. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Bethea Baptist Home Chapel with the funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Burial will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Greenwood, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Home, P.O.
