A native of Pickens County, daughter of the late Leo and Lizzie Porter Gillespie, she was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, David Chastain of Anderson; two daughters, Kay Underwood of Greer and Libby Connor of Cayce; a grandson, Charlie Underwood; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Benson, and Coleman Underwood.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Mrs. Dottie Bryson and Marion Waters. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held 2:30-3:45 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
