Flora Hutto Obituary

Flora Louella Franklin Hutto COLUMBIA - Flora Louella Franklin Hutto, 83, of Columbia, died Saturday, March 28, 2015. Born in Jonas Ridge, NC on August 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Alexander and Eva Wiseman Franklin. Mrs. Hutto was a retired registered nurse and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She exemplified the role of a pastor's wife. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. Survivors include her sons, Dale (Debbie) Hutto of Gaston, Dr. Eric (Dana) Hutto of Columbia; grandchildren, Aimee (Jason) Lutz, Andrew (Liz) Hutto, Sarah Hutto; great-grandchild, MJ Lutz; sister-in-law, Florence Franklin of Oil City, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elbert Delano Hutto, one sister and three brothers. A funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock, Wednesday, April 1st at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia with The Rev. Ron Bryan and The Rev. Dr. Dennis Letts officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock. Memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1410 Sunnyside Drive, Columbia, SC 29204. Memories and condolences may be shared at ShivesFuneralHome.com.
