Lillian and I join the thousands of colleagues and friends of Frank and Mary Anne who would be sending their condolences upon the passing of one of the Independent Telephone Industry's foremost leaders. Those of us on the staff of TELEPHONE ENGINEER & MANAGEMENT always appreciated the availability of Frank for interviews, his cogent answers and keen insight into both the business and technology challenges to be faced. While Frank's leadership will be sorely missed, this giant for whom I had the honor of helping to induct into the Telephone Hall of Fame has had the vision to leave behind him a strong management team dedicated to providing superior telecommunications service to the areas his company provides. To the entire family of Mr. Frank Barnes: It was my great honor and privilege to meet Mr. Barnes and to work with him in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s. Although the clients I represented in those days had competing views, I always found Mr. Barnes to be honorable and forthright in all of our encounters. I found him to be a man exceedingly wise and possessing superior judgment. Men of his caliber are exceedingly rare and all of his family should take great pride in being related to him and having observed a life well lived. God Bless you during this time of loss.

I grew up down the street from Barnes home on Evergreen Circle and have lots of good memories of Lea, Ann, Bryant and Sandy. Their mom and dad made their house a home for them and their friends. This is a wonderful family. They are in our prayers. - Freddy Ivey

One of the great ones in my world growing up in RH. Since the Barnes' and London children (across the street neighbors) were raised up together on Marion Street, I always knew them all.
I will never forget his help and guidance when my daddy died many years ago.
My special prayers to Mary Ann and Bryant and all of the other family members.
My love to all of you,
