My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. George I. Rentz. I just heard about his passing away on 11-6-2021. I was an employee of Loris Community Hospital having come to work there in April, 1957, just a few weeks before he came to be our Hospital Administrator & I was one of his secretaries. He was a very kind, pleasant, dedicated gentleman whom I enjoyed working for. He was definitely a leader with a vision for our hospital in the11 years he was there our
Hospital continued to grow with many expansions, in addition to building a Nursing Home across the street from the hospital. He set the foundation for our Hospital into what it is today and we will always be thankful and great full to him for his hard work and dedication. God Bless his family with peace and comfort in the days & years to come.
Respectfully, Kitty Franklin, Loris, sc

With heartfelt sympathy to the family, we will be thinking of you all in the days to come. My mother, Phyllis, was Mr. Rentz's Admin Secretary at Lexington County Hospital when it opened. I remember Mr Rentz plenty of times when I went to work with her when I was little. He was a wonderful kind gentleman that my Mom loved working for. Rest in Peace Mr. Rentz. We shall take it from here. God bless the Family!

George was a health care visionary ahead of the others in planning. He offered his expertise to create the wonderful Lexington Medical Center that we have today. He was a true leader and a person who I call a friend. Not many will have such a long and rewarding life on this wonderful Earth. John G. Black, MD

On behalf of the Pastoral Care department of Lexington Medical Center, thank you for all that Mr. Rentz means to this place. What a visionary! God gifted him and used him to meet the needs of people that had no idea. Now, God rewards him. We pray for the comfort for the family and we thank God for the life of this servant.
