Pat, Tim, Suzanne and family,

It was a great pleasure to know Gratten and experience the care he brought in his ministry to churches and individuals. I never see an alligator on a golf course that I do not remember him and our gator experience at Beaufort Country Club years ago.

Pat and family,
Great memories! Gratten spinning some hilarious jokes and laughing as hard himself as I did. Wondering the halls of the Baptist Convention building and sharing his vast knowledge to churches in Kingdom growth. Special sessions on Arsenal Hill at the model train show displaying that he was still enjoying much of his first childhood-but more important, always exemplifying his servanthood.
God bless you in the days ahead.

What a full, wonderful life Gratten had....a life well lived. Our family has such great memories of our times together at Ashley River Baptist Church and our friendship through the years. Bob and Ken have always spoke fondly of their camping trips with Gratten, Perry and Tim. I am so sorry that I am unable to be there with you at this time, but I hope to see you soon. Love and prayers.

Pat and family,
We will certainly miss Gratten, he was always such a delight to speak with. We especially liked the way he always shared his love of God, family, and church. He was so proud of all of you guys, we feel it was privilege to have been able to know him and best of all to call him friend. I always enjoyed his great sense of humor, we shared many jokes and laughs, he truly lived and loved life. Gratten was genuinely fortunate, this was evidenced by his service for our Lord, his devotion and love to his family, and his work for the church. You all will be in our prayers and thoughts.
