Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina - James Harvey Sauls, 51, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Harvey is a lifelong resident of Saluda County. Harvey graduated from King Academy and Clemson University before flourishing in a real estate career where he was able to help so many find the perfect property for them. Harvey unconditionally loved his wife and daughters more than life. He had a tremendous desire and respect for the outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, backpacking, and many things outside in God's creation. Harvey practiced wildlife conservation and property management on his farm that was so special to him. Harvey's gift was unselfishly giving the perfect gift to so many at the perfect time. He was able to do this because he was continuously motivated by his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Harvey was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Sauls, and mother-in-law, Becky Clark. Harvey is survived by his sweet wife, Sally, and his precious daughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth, his brother Tillman (Abbie) Sauls, father-in-law Buddy Clark, brother-in-law Will (Libby) Clark, sister-in-law Perri (Shane) Bryant, nephews Joe and Ben Sauls, niece SaraKate Bryant, and a special group of Aunts, Uncles and first cousins.
Graveside service will be Monday at 2pm at Batesburg Cemetery (across the street from 140 S Peachtree Street, Batesburg, SC 29006). Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends (Masks are required to attend). Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to thank Brooke Noteboom, Joey Young and the entire Compassionate Careteam for the outstanding medical care over the past few months. In addition, the family appreciates the care provided by Dr. AmishiShah and many others at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr. Perrie Ryan and the staff at Lexington Medical Center.
