Sonny Still BLACKVILLE - Graveside funeral service for Henry David "Sonny" Still IV, 77, of Blackville, SC, will be held eleven a.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Blackville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Terry officiating. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given in Sonny's memory to the Blackville Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 365, Blackville, SC 29817. Sonny passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at his home. Born in Blackville, SC, he was a son of the late Henry David Still III and Helen Julia Brooker Still. Sonny was married to the late Barbara Bodiford Still for 56 years, graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and was a businessman, having owned and operated HDS Builders of Hilton Head Island. He formerly served as the mayor of Blackville and was Man-of-the-Year for Barnwell County. Sonny served as a deacon and was a member of the Blackville First Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Still Boots; a son, Henry David "Hal" Still V, both of Blackville; grandchildren, Bain (Joel) Vaughn, Charles Buist, Spencer Still; great-grandchildren, Wylder Vaughn, Bowers "Bo" Vaughn and Sonny Bain Vaughn.
