Jack Brown Jr. CAMDEN - A funeral service to celebrate the life of Jack "Jackie" Laverne Brown, Jr., 50, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Hedgepath and Rev. Brian Cobb will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jackie's memory to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, SC, 29020 or Antioch Baptist Church, 1875 Antioch Road, Camden, SC 29020. Jackie died Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was born in Chester, SC, the son of Renee Howle Brown Christopherson and the late Jack L. Brown Sr. Jackie is survived by his mother of Camden, SC, and his "Daddy" Jerry W. Brown of Camden; sisters, Barbara Brown Hodge (Bobby) of Charleston, SC, and Crystal Brown Morrison (Alan) of Camden, SC; nieces, Niki Hodge, Megan Thomas and Jessi Catoe; nephews, James Morrison, Billy Hodge and Thomas Morrison; and his beloved dogs. Besides his father, Jackie was predeceased by his sister, Melissa Brown. Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
