Leesville, South Carolina - Jackie Ray Cheeks Jr.,52, of Leesville, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of Judith Mosley Shumpert. Mr. Cheeks was an avid Gamecock fan, loved Rock and Roll music, and his dog Uno. He was a loving son and brother who will be missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his mother, Judy C. Shumpert; sisters, Dawn Bickley (Heyward) and Alysia Shumpert; nephew, Coleman Ricard, and niece, Ashley May. He is also survived by a great nephew and great niece, James May and Vivi May and his maternal grandmother Vivian L Mosley. Mr. Cheeks was preceded in death by his step father, Larry Shumpert and maternal grandfather, James F. Mosley Sr.
The service for Mr. Cheeks will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 19th at Pauline Church of Christ in Leesville with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Rick Farwell will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Jack was a very special person, he could light up any room with that contagious smile he always had. The memories with Jack is a kind , loving soul. He will be dearly missed . RIP Jack..... My momma, I am sure she was waiting for you at the pearly gates! Prayers for the family
