James Culler Obituary
Mr. Culler, beloved husband of Rose Mary Phillips Culler, died Thursday, April 1, 2010. Born in Lexington County on October 5, 1938, he was the son of the late John Gordon Culler, Sr. and Gertrude Redmond Culler. He was a born again Christian, and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Swansea, SC, where he has served as a church treasurer, Sunday school superintendent and a Sunday school teacher. James was a Methodist Lay-Speaker. He worked in the floor covering business for 50 years.
Survivors are his loving wife for 51 years, Rose Mary Phillips Culler, a daughter Cecilia Culler Waugh, son-in-law Michael Waugh and a loving granddaughter Michaela Waugh. James also leaves behind a brother Willie Jennings Culler and his wife, Ella Culler of Aiken; sister, Joyce Culler Wise and her husband, Truman Wise of Swansea and a sister-in-law, Thelma Rucker Culler of Swansea. He was preceded in death by a brother John Gordon Culler, Jr.
A loving memorial may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 148, Swansea, SC 29160.
And a special thanks for the excellent care given by Dr. Joseph Horvath and the staff at Palmetto Richland Hospital.
