Janet LeVeque Cecil COLUMBIA - Janet LeVeque Cecil passed away peaceably at Palmetto Health Center surrounded by loved ones, on April 20, 2013 after a long illness. A memorial service will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church on Assembly Street at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Janet was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. She worked as a freelance court reporter for many years and was a devoted friend and mentor. She will be remembered for her kindness, her loyalty to her friends, her devotion to all her loved ones, and finally for her courage and strength in her long battle with cancer. Born in Anoka, Minn. on April 30, 1953, Janet was the daughter of the late George and Marjorie LeVeque. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Chuck Cecil; children, Gina Leveque and Ryan Shah; grandson, Angelo Caporoso; sisters, Carole LeVeque and Barbara Pedersen, along with her husband, Brian; brother, John LeVeque; godson Zachary Howard, and a host of other family members and loving friends. Her devoted and constant animal companions, Ricky, Butters, Buddy and Hans, remained at her side during her illness - even visiting her in the hospital during her final days.
