I met Redwin back in '70 at Micanopy! Over the years we kept popping up in each others spaces and places. One interesting fellow,Redwin was!
My most fovorite memory was getting lost one late night driving in Peggi's field up here at the farm in Archer Beach (the Sand Hills). Under the cups and influences we drove in circles trying to find the house,it took hours...and we were in view of the house as we were being watched going in circles and zig zags. I will never forget that night or Jay Redwin Bardin.

Dear Jeanne,
I was so sorry to hear of your lost. As we kids all grew up together at Hesperides, Jay was so often the center of attention. Where have the years gone? I remember well coming over to your house with Terry to watch Walt Disney on Sunday nights with Jay. As I grew older I often borrowed Emil's tuxedo for special occasions. Your family was always such good neighbors and friends and always there for us when we needded you. Thank you for all you did and may God comfort you and yours in this time of need.
Sincerely,
Larry Sumner

Jay was sitting across the aisle from me when we went on a USF art history train trip to New York in 1967. We had never met but became friends and remained so through the years. Jay could always make me laugh no matter what was happening at the time. He was a treasure. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeanne and the family.

It has been a little while since I have seen our peer family member from the Sand Hills of Archer, FL. Although unable to attend the service today, I will be there in spirit. May God bless you Jay - a wonderful friend and person. I will miss you, but am left with many fond memories. Rest in peace, with love, Laurie

It has been a long time since I have seen Redwin, probably when his step mother, Ann Brodie passed away. Redwin and I sort of grew up together during his visits with Jay and Ann and his step-brothers, Allen and Phillip. I have fond memories of those times when our lives were simpler. I know that he is in a better place now and I will remember him fondly. God's Peace be with those that remain.

The last time I saw Jay was in the Atlanta airport many years ago. In the 70s I took an art class he taught through the Columbia Museum of Art. Although I had absolutely no artistic talent, I enjoyed his laughter and sense of humor as he critiqued my originals. I have smiles and happy memories of Jay. Joyce Metts Grimes, Ballentine, SC

When I was little, when Jay would come to town in his VW we would all say "Our hippie cousin is here" and a run home to see him. Lots of fun then. In the later years, Jay and I had many laughs on late night phone calls....many funny memories...rest in peace cousin.

I knew Redwin as a little boy visiting in Columbia SC. He was very bright with a highly developed sense of humor and a happy smile on his freckled face. I regret losing touch with him and offer sincere condolences to his family on his loss.
