Jean Frezil Wharton Fowler

October 9, 1934 - March 25, 2024

Columbia, South Carolina - Jean Frezil Wharton Fowler, formerly of Columbia, SC, died peacefully on March 25, 2024 in Orlando, Florida surrounded by her family.

Jeanne was born October 9, 1934 in Columbia, SC to Joseph Watson Wharton and Gene W. Houser Wharton.

Jeanne graduated Dreher High School and attended The University of South Carolina. She is a member of Shandon Presbyterian Church, The Huguenot Society of South Carolina, The Daughters of the American Revolution, Constellation Chapter, former member of The Mimosa Garden Club, several bridge clubs and "The Lunch Bunch".

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Aubrey Dean Fowler and E.C. Rhodes, her son, Dean, Jr. and Granddaughter, Melissa and brother Wattie.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Tenreiro, son in law, Jose Tenreiro. Her Grandsons, Joseph and Christian. Granddaughters Gillian Robinson, Nicole Tenreiro and Great son in law, Gervonia Robinson. Great Grandchildren Brittany, Miranda, Gavin, Gianna and Sophie. Great Great Granddaughter McKenna and nephew Wattie.

There will be a graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery, Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC, on Tuesday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. by Reverend Cook.

Jeanne would like to thank Dr. Vaughn Barnik and Dr. Bill Crosswell for her care when she lived in Columbia.

If you would like, Jeanne has chosen in lieu of flowers to send memorials to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Shandon Presbyterian Church or Franklin Grahams Mission.
