JW gave me permission to use his backyard to view a astronomical event called a Venus transit. Another time he came over to my house to watch the 2017 solar eclipse. JW had a wide interests and would often ask about what was going on in the sky. And he always had lots of stories to share with you. One I remember was him viewing the Leonid meteor shower that was spectacular that year.
