I had the privilege of working with Aubrey at Columbia Office Supply from 1986 until 1991. He was a patient mentor who became a treasured friend. His dry wit and gentle, generous heart made him unique among men. May each family member be comforted by the love and memories you have shared with John Aubrey Parrott.

Aubrey often came to my short story class at the Shepherd's Center and was such an enthusiastic participant. Whenever he wasn't there, I missed him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a love for literature. I wish I could have known him for a longer time. Carol McAlpin

I met Aubrey at Columbia Office Supply Company in 1968. He was head of the interior design department and I had just been hired as graphic designer. We worked together until the mid 1990's. He was one of the most interesting people that I ever met. He was well educated, well read, a great family man, but his most endearing quality was his dry sense of humor. I was just out of college and it was my first real job. He had worked for some very large design firms, so it was an opportunity to learn from a master. My wife and I watched his family grow up. We often visited at Christmas. I considered him a dear friend who I will always remember. I am sure that he will be sorely missed.
