To Vanessa and Finn,
I´m so very sorry about your mommy. Please know when we talked, she lit up like a Christmas tree when she talked about the two of you. The two of you were the two people she was proudest of and she loved you with every millimeter of her heart, body and soul. You both made her proud, happy, laugh, and made her life richer because you were in it. The two of you were her heroes. Please always know she is watching over you and in your heart.

My overwhelming memory of Karen (growing up at Our Lady of the Lake and Chapin schools) is just how kind she always was, to everyone. She was a truly beautiful soul. I am so sad to hear about her passing. Sending you all love and sympathy and prayers for comfort.

I will always remember Karen as such a sweet smiling beautiful girl in high school. She was creative and a friend to all. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

RIP Karen. It's not fair the cards you were dealt with your illness but I know you're no longer in pain and walking around on your own again. I'm glad I got to see her one time when she was in the hospital here in Columbia.
