Donna Underwood and Jake Jacobsen
December 2, 2021
I was so saddened to hear of Kelly's passing. I knew her as Bea and never met her in person. Our connection was Jake Jacobsen with East Coast Paper and Paint. They worked on some wallpaper jobs together. Jake had wonderful things to say about Bea. She and I met through a phone call. Jake has Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Bea called to check on him after he had texted her to express his dismay about her diagnosis. He was too sick to answer his phone so I answered for him. Bea and I kept in touch and then both she and Jake became so ill that communication slipped. Just a few days prior to reading Bea's obituary in The Post and Courier, I had planned to call and catch up. If we would have had the time, I'm sure we would have become good friends. Not getting to know her better was my loss. Because of his AML and failed treatments, Jake has been unable to go back to work. But if he does, he will definitely miss working with Bea. Truly sorry for your loss of someone so lovely.
