Leroy Porterfield Obituary

Leroy Porterfield COLUMBIA Funeral services for Deacon Leroy Porterfield will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Lyon Street with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Masonic Rites will be held this evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Leevy's Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel. Born in Hopewell, Virginia, he attended Booker T. Washington High School and was married to the late Hattie Ruth Roberson Porterfield. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Past Worshipful Master of Capital City Lodge No. 47. Surviving are a half-brother, Allen Porterfield; nieces; nephews; other loving relatives and friends. www.leevy.com
