Mr. McPherson died Thursday, September 16, 2011. Born in Camden, he was a son of Margaret Kirkland Colvin and the late William Malcolm McPherson. He enjoyed sports, fishing, golfing, playing his guitar and singing.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Margaret Kirkland Colvin and Robert Wayne Colvin; son, J.W. McPherson of Columbia; son, Martin (Tabby Peake); brothers, Mike McPherson (Peggy) of Westville, Ricky McPherson of Lugoff, and Scott McPherson (Mary) of Elgin; sister, Terrie Allred (Bobby) of Romney, W.V.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
