Lila Cromer Obituary

NEWBERRY - Lila Huffstetler Cromer, 75, widow of Leland Ralph Cromer, died Monday, October 3, 2011, in Providence Hospital.

Born January 23, 1936, in Chapin, she was a daughter of the late Elbert Leslie and Leila Elizabeth Wessinger Huffstetler. She was an employee of Walmart and was a beautician for 40 years. Mrs. Cromer was a member of Newberry Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a son, Charlton Lee (Amy) Cromer of Irmo; a daughter, Leslie Cromer (Scott) Koon of Prosperity; brothers, Gene Huffstetler and Clyde Huffstetler, both of Chapin; grandchildren, Reagan Bannister and Luke Cromer. Mrs. Cromer was predeceased by her stepmother, Nancy Pearl Huffstetler, sisters, Freida Shealy and Faye Rose, and a brother, Bernard Huffstetler.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Newberry Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Mantle Nance. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 â€' 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
