Marie Carpenter Obituary
Jan. 28, 1932 - Sept. 22, 2009
Marie Allred Carpenter, 77, of Aztec, passed away at Crane's Roost on Sept. 22, 2009, with her daughter, Myra Anderson, and best friend, Barbara Aldaz Mills, at her side. Marie was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Safford, Ariz., to Calvert Alonzo Allred and Cornelia Cardon Allred.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Floyd Lamont Carpenter; brothers, Grant Calvert, Max, Therrill Golden; and sister, Lorenne.
She is survived by her daughter, Myra Anderson and husband, Al; son, Faron Carpenter and wife, Lana; brother, Rex of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Geraldine of Safford; and her favorite little pal, her poodle, Toby.
Marie served many years on the hospital auxiliary in Farmington and also held many positions in the LDS church.
Many thanks to all the family, friends, LDS Church of Aztec, and neighbors who were there for Marie in the last few years. They brought her much love and comfort.
Very special thanks to the care givers at Crane's Roost, the staff at Northwest New Mexico Hospice, Cope Memorial, and Drs. Sabol and Barkman.
