Michael Mallison Obituary
January 16, 1942 - April 17, 2021
West Columbia, South Carolina - Michael Montgomery Mallison, 79, died peacefully at his home in West Columbia on April 17, 2021. Mike was born in Pottstown, PA. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1967 where he served as President of Lambda Chi Alpha. Mike, a born salesman, worked in the fields of pharmaceutical, educational, automotive and insurance sales. He was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church where he served as a Stephen Minister and was a member of the Primetimer's Sunday School Class. He was an avid and dedicated Gamecock fan.
Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ree Dorsey Mallison; their daughter, Michelle (Todd) Smoak; grandchildren, Michael and Mallison Smoak; brother-in-law, James E. Dorsey, III; his life-long friend, Bill Whitworth; brother, Robert C. Mallison, Jr.; and, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert C. and Suzanne McCaslin Mallison; and, his sister, Suzanne Ertle Dunaway.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church on April 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, SC 29072

Among all his people skills he was a great crossword puzzler. I have fond memories of working with Mike at Ward Services. He would walk into training , pick up my puzzle and just start filling in the blanks!!!!
