Dear BeeGee, Elliott, and Brittany,
This is truly hard times for us all. Losing Michael's physical presence is incomprehensible. However,we will always feel his love and presence within each of us. His smile and hearty laughter will forever resonate our very being. As difficult as this is proving to be, we must remember to honor Michael. We must live and find happiness in each day just as he instructed us. Yes it is extremely difficult to stop the crying and asking the question" why?", but we made Michael a promise and we must keep this promise. Together we can live our lives as living testimonies to the man we love and miss so much. That's what our family has always done together and we won't stop now. Please remember that I am just a phone call away. Love you much!

Your sister and Auntie,
Margaret

My dear brother may have left this earth, but his sensitivity and the things he taught me will be forever lasting with me. Mike was not only a friend but more like a big brother to me. I can recall the day he told me that I needed to learn real estate because I had the people skills and personality for the job. I said to him, "you will say anything to get me to do what you want." He just smiled and kept on nagging me until I gave in and studied and learned from him to acquire my realtor licenses. He was a great teacher, mentor, colleague, brother and friend. Most of all, he was committed to his word, When he promised to do something, he did just that no matter how inconvenient it was for him. He never waivered on his word. I doubt if Mike knew what a great impact he had on my life, but he always knew I was very appreciative of the time and effort he spent in helping me further develop talents that God had so graciously blessed me with. Even when things were tough for Mike, he continued to smile and enjoy the smaller things of life. He taught me that it's not about how much you have but how you use the little that you do have. He was a strong individual who loved his family and did what he could to provide for them, to teach his children and to guide them. He was proud of his family in more ways than imaginable. He was an individual of great character and integrity. Once you got to know Mike, you knew you had a friend for life and he would always have a place in your life. I could go on and on with good things to say about Mike. To sum it all up, he will be forever remembered and the time we shared will be forever cherished. To Mike's family (BeeGee, Brittany and Elliott in particular), hold onto Mike's strength of endurance, his smile, his character, his integrity and most of all his love for God. Please know that I'm here for you in anyway possible. Love you all.

I NEVER GOT TO MEET MR. POWE BUT I KNOW ONE THING FOR SURE IS HIS SON LOVED HIS FATHER. I'LL NEVER FORGET THE DAY THAT ELLIOTT TOLD ME ABOUT HIS DAD BEING DIAGNOSED W/ CANCER. I KNEW ELLIOTT WAS HEART BROKEN BUT HE JUST KNEW HIS DAD WOULD BE ALRIGHT. I ALWAYS ASKED HOW HIS DAD WAS DOING & HE WOULD SAY "HANGING IN THERE" BUT NOW HE'S AMAZING. HE'S IN HEAVEN && EVERYONE KNOWS THERES NO BETTER PLACE. MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE POWE FAMILY AT THIS TIME. <3

Michael was one of the first friends I had when I moved to Cheraw many years ago and even if we didn't see each other often, he remained a friend. We had good times together in school and he was always a wonderful person and will be missed. To the family, know that God has it all in His hands and I pray that through His grace and mercy you will make it through this time. I love you all.

Though many years have passed, I will always remember my brother Michael. He set a standard for professionalism and was truly made his mark on many lives. As a Kappa, he truly lead the way for those of us who followed him. As a Christian, all that I have read from what others have said is that Michael lived his life with this motto: "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living would not be in vain." To the family, my prayers go out to you and ask that God fill the void. Remember the joy and good times Michael brought and continue to make him proud. God will take care of you! Though Mike has been called home, God has healed him.

I have great memories of our families visiting each other and sharing family reunions. Michael and I talked via Facebook about having a reunion but we were unable to make that reunion happen. Michael, enjoy your heavenly reunion with your dad, aunts, uncles, grandma, cousins, and others dear to your heart. The Powe family will come together to celebrate your life and your home-going. I love and miss you. Family, stay strong - we know where all of our help cometh from! Your Cousins, the Bullards.
