William Michael "Mike" Skinner COLUMBIA - William Michael "Mike" Skinner, age 73, beloved husband of 44 years to Louise G. "Weesie" Skinner died on Friday, September 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Hendersonville, NC, a son of Mary Stonecipher Skinner Tichey and the late Wallace Golden Skinner. He worked in the real estate business in the Columbia and the Irmo area since 1970, owning his own company and working for Coldwell Banker, formerly Russell & Jeffcoat. He was a lifetime member of the Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club, a past President of the CMLSA Listing service and also served the real estate community in many other capacities. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church where he was an usher and served on the Vestry. Surviving in addition to his wife are: two sons, William Michael Skinner, Jr., of Surfside Beach and Samuel Wallace Skinner of Columbia; two brothers, Gary F. Skinner and his wife Mary of Mt. Pleasant and Wallace G. Skinner and his wife Jane Marie of LaGrange, GA; and two grandchildren, Lane Mikell Skinner and Lillian Grace Skinner. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 3:00pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 2-3pm at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
