Nellie Ashford Obituary

Nellie Bell Ashford RIDGEWAY - Mrs. Nellie Bell Ashford (NellieBell) died on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the age of 81. She was born in Ridgeway, SC on February 9, 1932 to the late Alexander and Clara Able Henderson. She is survived by five daughters, Clara (James) Worthy, Virginia Moore, Beverly (Charlie) Harp, Pearlie Ashford, and Doris (West) Mozie; a devoted friend, Wesley Kennedy; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Ashford and one son, Willie James Ashford. Funeral services for Mrs. Ashford will be held Monday, September 9, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 4118 State Hwy 34 E, Ridgeway, SC. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ashford will be available for public viewing 2:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Nelson's Funeral Home.
