Ollie Roland Obituary

LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Ollie F. Roland, 77, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2008, at Red Bank United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Red Bank United Methodist Church, 2909 Old Barnwell Road, Lexington, SC 29073, or to Heartland Hospice, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mr. Roland was born September 6, 1931, in Lexington, SC, and passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008. He was a son of the late Levi D. Roland and Esther Keisler Roland. Mr. Roland was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church and he retired from the textile mill.

Mr. Roland is survived by his wife, Patricia Keisler Roland; daughters, Cheryl Leaphart (Chris), Joy Snelgrove (Chris) and Gail Faircloth (Michael); brother, Edwin Roland (Sonny); sisters, Alice Jones and Mary Mills; grandchildren, Jessica Buff, Quinton Leaphart, Brittney Stewart, Casey Hart, Mitchell Snelgrove, Weston Faircloth, Taylor Faircloth; great-grandchildren, Abbigail Buff, Kerrigan Buff, Hailey Leaphart and Nathan Stewart. Mr. Roland was predeceased by his mother and father and stepmother, Elsie Roland.
