I first met Phillip while working I.T. in the late 1990s. I will never forget the time we were working a remote job near Radford, VA. We were having dinner after work at the hotel bar/restaurant. In walks the Harlem Globetrotters. They had recently played an exhibition game against Radford University. I was completely ignorant as to who they were but Phillip knew them all. A few moments after letting them get settled he had them laughing with him at the bar. That's the kind of man I remember Phillip to be. Approachable, easy to get to know. Friendly with most anybody. Good for a laugh or a serious conversation when needed.
Thank you for being a part of my life Phillip. I consider myself fortunate for having counted you amoung my friends. May God be with you. No more struggles. No more worries. Take a rest and know that you are missed. Until we meet again.
