Dear Susan,
Even though I did not know you that well, I am saddened to hear the news about David. I learned about his passing today. He was my favorite boss. He was, as I like to refer to him, a gentle giant. My family and I will miss him. Let me know if I can do anything for you and your family.

Dearest Susan & Mrs. Gibson & Family;
I am so very saddened to hear this tragic news. Not a day goes by that John & I don't recall some fond memory of David, & you all. I recall meeting Mrs. Gibson for the first time & you Susan, when you and David were dating. He loved you all so very much and spoke of you all the time. I will never forget him or his sweet disposition. He was always there for me when I needed anything; I want you to know that John & I are here if you need anything. Blessings be upon you and your family during this most difficult of times.

Dear Mrs. Gibson and Family.

I am so sorry to hear about David.
I had the pleasure of working with him as his first assistant at the Regal 7 about eight years ago before I transferred to the Hollywood 20 in Greenville. He was a pleasure to know and work with. He was an inspiring person that made others want to do their best. He will be missed. May your memories always comfort you.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in the days to come.

Sincerely,
Christy Gregory

Dear Mrs. Gibson and Family,
You don't know me but I am a nurse who worked for Dr. Markham and gave dear Richard many allergy shots throughout several years. I was stunned and greatly saddened to hear of Richard's senseless passing. He always brightened our office with his smiles and quiet chuckles. He left everybody feeling a little brighter after his visit. I just wanted to let you know how many lives that he touched with his gentle manner. Surely there is a new angel in Heaven today. May the many thoughts and prayers of friends bring you comfort. He will live forever in your heart.
With sincere condolences,
Melinda Rettig

Mrs. Gibson, I am so sorry for your loss. I have been employed by your husband for two years and we became extremely close. Luckily, two weeks before his passing, I told him that I never wanted to work at another Regal because he wouldn't be there. He quickly reassured me that there are others like him out there, but of course I completely disagreed. I'm just glad that I was able to let him know that. I went to work every day looking forward to seeing him and laughing at the things we talked about or the things he did to make me laugh. He always knew how to cheer me up and he understood me better than anyone else I work with. Regal will not be the same without him and honestly, I probably won't either. He brought joy to having a job and life in general. He never complained and he always thought positively. He has a place in my heart that no one else will ever be able to fill. He was not only my boss, but a father figure to me. I miss him terribly and tonight will be the first Friday, I believe, that I have ever worked without him...and I can already tell it's going to be very hard for me. If you need anything please don't hesitate to let your Regal family know.

Sincerely,
Sara White

Kay and I were so sorry to hear about David. We were high school class mates of David at JCCA in the class of 78. He was a special part of our class; a quiet, friendly person who we all affectionately called "Mr G." We liked to play cards and David would calmly sit and take all our money. I have many good memories of David and I am sad that he is gone. You family is in our prayers.

I have know David since he moved here in 1990. Since that time I had the opportunity to work with him, through the theatre, for years.
I never heard him speak an unkind word of anyone! He leaves us with an incredible example of graciousness. Sally and I pray for peace and the comfort of the Holy Spirit for Susan and other family members coping with their loss.

Susan and family,
I don't recall ever being at a loss for words but this news has left me speechless. David has been a dear friend to me for almost 20 years. My world is going to have a void that will never be filled with his passing. Far too young, far too nice.
I am so, so sorry.
