Randall Walters Obituary

CHARLOTTE - Randall "Randy" Coneley Walters, 32, of Charlotte, NC, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011. Born October 2, 1978, in Greenville, NC, he was a graduate of Spring Valley High School and the College of Charleston. Randy worked at Moog Medical Devices Group, where he was an area sales manager. He loved to travel and enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He also loved music. Randy will be remembered as a hard worker who excelled at nearly everything he tried and as a loyal friend to everyone who knew him.

Randy is survived by his mother, Margaret "Marky" Walters of Columbia; and father, Tom Walters of Savannah, GA; a sister, Ashley Virginia Bouknight and husband, Tripp, of Leesville; as well as beloved nephews, Jack and Henry. He is also survived by grandmother, Betty Rose Wall of Savannah, GA; aunts, Susan Carr and husband, Glenn, of Windsor, VA, and Trevelyn Davidson of St. John, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Lee Smith; his uncle, Randall Stephen Smith; and a nephew, James Randall Bouknight.

A memorial service for Randy will be held 10 o'clock Friday morning, Sept. 30, 2011, at Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia, with Dr. George Crow officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, c/o Palmetto Health Foundation, Dept. 274, PO Box 100199, Columbia, SC 29202.
