Randall Walters Obituary
Randy is survived by his mother, Margaret "Marky" Walters of Columbia; and father, Tom Walters of Savannah, GA; a sister, Ashley Virginia Bouknight and husband, Tripp, of Leesville; as well as beloved nephews, Jack and Henry. He is also survived by grandmother, Betty Rose Wall of Savannah, GA; aunts, Susan Carr and husband, Glenn, of Windsor, VA, and Trevelyn Davidson of St. John, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Lee Smith; his uncle, Randall Stephen Smith; and a nephew, James Randall Bouknight.
A memorial service for Randy will be held 10 o'clock Friday morning, Sept. 30, 2011, at Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia, with Dr. George Crow officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, c/o Palmetto Health Foundation, Dept. 274, PO Box 100199, Columbia, SC 29202. To Randy’s family; words cannot say how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I was privileged to have Randy in my life for the time I worked with him and after. His intelligence, grace and personality always made you want to be around him and he always put me in a better mode when we would talk. The most memorable thing to me about Randy was his sense of humor. I always left a visit or conversation with him a bit happier than I was before we spoke. My prayers of comfort to all Randy's family and friends.

Through this very difficult time you have my prayers for your family. I meet Randy 3 years ago working for Moog Medical and he became my friend instantly. Some things I will never understand, but he is in a better place now watching over us all. I will miss Randy very much, he will always be my Brother on the Battlefield.
