Rebecca L. Allen, age 68, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born March 11, 1957 in Fostoria, Ohio. Rebecca was a homemaker who loved crocheting, knitting, working puzzles, lighthouses, and the Christmas holidays. She lived life to its fullest and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Rebecca is survived by her mother, Lavon Joyce Chapman Shields; children, Tommy Tackett (Cindy) and April Allen (Richard Elkins); grandchildren, Tommy Tackett, Jr., Shevelle Tackett, Skylar McGuire, Sailem Elkins and Emma Elkins; siblings, Harold Ostrander (Terry), Dave Ostrander, Jim Ostrander, and Nancy Clary; former husband, Danny Allen; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Lee Ostrander, Sr.; brother, Ronald Ostrander, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Ina and Elmer Yates; and brother-in-law, Tommy Clary. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. A Celebration of Life service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. In keeping with Rebecca’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
