Bob was a faithful and a long-time member of Shandon Baptist Church. He was active in the church and worked with youth ministry programs when his children were young and in the home. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as playing all forms of racquet sports. He had a zest of life that led him to travel with Louise to six continents and over 70 foreign countries. He even rode his motorcycle to the great bike rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. His enthusiasm and love of life will be missed. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Shandon Baptist Church followed by visitation in the Gathering area. Bob loved his family and his country. He cherished the friendships and memories of the past, especially his first tour in Aschaffenburg, Germany where he and his fellow officers were forged to fight for our country in South Vietnam. Bob and Louise contributed to a wonderful "Aschaffenburg Reunion" in Pawleys Island, SC where old friends and good memories abounded! Rest in peace Bob.

Louise, Marlin and Brad, Nell and I were deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We always enjoyed seeing and talking with Bob. We also admired his devotion to you and his family and his dedicated service to his country. I especially loved hearing him speak of growing up in Georgia. We know this is a difficult time for y'all to face, but with God's help and realizing Bob would want you to go forward under God's guidance and direction, that everything will soon be all right. Bob was a wonderful husband, father and friend. Nell and I enjoyed having the privilege of kowing him.

Louise, Gail and I are very saddened by the loss of Bobbie. Gail remembers fondly of the conversation she had with you and Bobbie on the porch at the last Sigma Pi reunion, Bobbie's positive attitude and his love of God as he struggled with his illness. I, of course, remember the "Rabbit" from our days at the fraternity house on Milledge. Those were fun days, but, they were also days of close friendship and brotherhood that continues forever. Rabbit embodied the spirit of Sigma Pi. And, now, he embodies a far greater spirit for his love of our country, and for the sacrifice he made in protecting it.
Louise, may you never stop believing that your faith will give you inner strength and that the power of God's love will always be with you.
And, know you are as much a part of Sigma Pi as the "Rabbit."
