Ruby Lee Johnson Martin COLUMBIA Funeral Services for Ruby Lee Johnson Martin, 81, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Community CME Church. Interment will follow in The Promised Land Cemetery. A public viewing will be held today from Noon to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel is in charge of these arrangements. Ruby Lee was born August 29, 1934 in Eastover, SC to the late Willie B. and Benzena E. Miller Johnson, Sr. She departed this life March 28, 2016. Ms. Martin was a 1952 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She also attended the Historically Black College, Allen University. She was a faithful member of Community CME Church for many years. Ms. Martin was a retired technician for the former Mepco (GE) Electric Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Martin; parents, two sisters and a brother. Left to cherish fond memories are: are: her two sons, Andrew (Linda) Johnson and Carl E. (Pearlina) Burke; a daughter, Brenda J.
