Ruth Miller Atchison Sharpe CROSS HILL - Ruth Miller Atchison Sharpe, age 89, of Cross Hill, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the Hospice House of Laurens County. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Sharpe DeHart of Spartanburg; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Vaughn Sharpe of Cross Hill; a sister, Lucy Eleazer of Columbia; four grandchildren, Alan DeHart (Tricia) of Spartanburg, Michael DeHart (Shay) of Spartanburg, Karen Sharpe Kirby (Dan) of Greenwood, and Sandra Sharpe Croft (Kevin) of Waterloo; and her great-grandchildren, Whitney Exum, Emily DeHart, Brooke Lavender, Brittany Lavender, all of Spartanburg, Hayden Kirby and Griffin Kirby of Greenwood, Lanie Croft and David Croft of Waterloo; and one great-great-grandson, Brayden Lavender of Spartanburg. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21st at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cross Hill, SC, with burial in Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church an hour before the service and the family will receive friends following the service.
