Shelley Sampson Stowe

Travelers Rest, South Carolina - Shelley Sampson Stowe, 73, of Travelers Rest, SC, passed on July 19 with family by her side. Before moving to the upstate to enjoy retirement and be a doting Gigi, Shelley worked for 35 years as a registered nurse in various offices in the Columbia area. She was widely known for her deep compassion for patients and her lively sense of humor.

Shelley is survived by her husband of 43 years, Don; daughter Shay Nier and her husband, Scott; son Drew Stowe, his wife Heather, and their daughter Elliott; sisters Janice and Barbara (Walter); brothers Douglas (Maria) and Mark; brother-in-law, Randy Stowe; stepfather, Richard Fowler; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved Jingles.

A memorial service to celebrate Shelley's life was held on July 24 at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church. Shelley's life of love and service may be honored by a contribution to the Backpack Ministry at Travelers Rest UMC, 19 South Main, Travelers Rest, SC. 29690.
