Susan Cousar Obituary
Born November 11, 1935, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Richard “Bub” and Susan Richardson Geddings. She attended Columbia College and was a retired civil service secretary. She was a member of Sumter Baptist Temple.
Surviving are her husband of Sumter; two daughters, Susan Cousar Smith of Sumter, and Julie Cousar McGuire and her husband Dale of Anderson; a sister, Jean Geddings Timmons and her husband Billy of Hartsville; a brother, Richard “Buddy” Geddings of Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, in the chapel of Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, 515 Miller Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Richard Alderman officiating. Burial will follow in Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Cousar, Ricky Timmons, Brandon Smith, Eddie Timmons, Richard Geddings and Doug Cousar.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2229, Sumter, SC 29151.
