Tabitha Ruth Thurlby Rapak

COLUMBIA — The memorial service for Mrs. Tabitha Ruth Thurlby Rapak, 49, of Columbia, will be held at 3 o’clock, Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. The Rev. Joseph Parker will be officiating and the eulogy will be given by her sister, Dawn Thurlby. The family will receive friends following the service.
 
Mrs. Rapak died Friday, July 10, 2009. Born January 10, 1960, Tabitha was reared in California, and attended Walla Walla University in Washington. After college, she served in the U.S. Air Force for two years.
 
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Rapak of Columbia; mother, Dona Jones and husband, Robert, of Kamiah, Idaho; sisters, Dawn Thurlby and husband, Ronald Ruszczyk, of Lexington and Colleen Hoskings of Weaverville, CA; brother, Patrick Thurlby and wife, Diane, of Escalon, CA; step-daughters, Stacy Bowen and husband, Ronald, of Columbia, Erica Carter and husband, Jon, of Columbia, Whitney Garcia and husband, Juan, of Texas; step-grandchildren, Ryan and Rebekah Bowen and Jackson Carter.
