Terri Stewart Obituary

Terri Stewart
December 14, 1956 - January 19, 2021
Lawrenceville, Georgia - Terri Lynn Stewart 64 of Lawrenceville, GA peacefully entered into rest, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her home alongside family. Born December 14, 1956, the oldest of five children, in Killeen, TX, she was a daughter of Col. Benjamin John Basil, and Claire Ruth (Posey) Basil.
She graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1979 with a degree in computer science after which she launched a career in software development, first with Hughes Aircraft creating national defense systems and years later with her brother Robert Basil at Milestone Consulting. She was an amazing mother to her two children Kristen and Jonathan, "Gran" to her grandson Carter, and loving wife to her husband Kevin. Terri was caring and compassionate, and her love of life was infectious. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sun especially when this included any body of water, ocean, lake or pool. Her favorite trips to enjoy the ocean were the annual trips to Myrtle Beach. She never missed an opportunity to visit the Sundial condo, and always included as much of the family as she could. She also loved taking long walks on the Suwanee Greenway to see the local wildlife and enjoy the peaceful quiet with her friends.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband Kevin with whom she shared her life for more than 45 years. Terri and Kevin are the parents of two adoring children and their spouses, Kristen and Steve Little and Jonathan and Kayla Stewart. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Benjamin and Robert Basil, Melanie Brown and Janet Garrison; and grandson, Carter.

Terri was a dear friend. I am so very sorry that her time her with us has ended. It was much too brief.
She loved her family so. Our many conversations were woven with your names and stories. Her parents and siblings too.
Kev, Kristen and Jonathan,
I will continue to lift you to the Father for strength and consolation.
No doubt Heaven is a little brighter.
