Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home (2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC) is handling the service. Mr. Tyrone Short, 53, was born August 27, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was a beloved son of the late Bobby Watson and Mamie Lou Short. He was a dedicated employee of the Pepsico Bottling Company for 27 years in Columbia, SC. Tyrone was a fun-loving person and he never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Short; son, Tyrone Princeton D. Short; stepson, Antwan Jones; brothers, Roscoe Short, Robert Short and Thomas Short; sisters, Lula Mae Cash and Brenda Turner; and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
