Columbia, South Carolina - Wanda Geisele Roberts Colburn of Columbia, SC, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2023. Wanda was born on December 18, 1959, at The South Carolina Baptist Hospital to the late Milton and Laura Roberts.
Wanda grew up as one of four children in a loving family. Some of the things that she enjoyed in her life included having Sunday dinners and holidays with family, trips to the zoo, and enjoying nature scenes while riding on the motorcycle through the mountains. Wanda was an avid lover of music, theatre, sci fi, dolphins, reading (especially The State newspaper), star-gazing, watching lightening storms, and her pet cats that she raised from birth to twenty-plus years old. She loved talking with her family on the phone and checked in on her daughter, siblings, and grandchildren regularly. Her boss at Molina Healthcare, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant, described her as "a mother to all", and she truly was. Wanda was a beautiful, loving, kind, compassionate, completely selfless, discerning, always helpful, meek, frugal, extremely intelligent and gentle woman. She was "the Proverbs 31 woman" to her family and friends, living the example of what it means to love and to forgive, and she will be missed beyond measure.
Wanda is survived by daughter, Angel (Colburn) Tindal; son-in-law, Jerry Tindal; and grandchildren, Emma Tindal Gilkerson (Clint), Joseph Tindal, Benjamin Tindal (Lauren), Joshua Tindal, Elijah Tindal, Josiah Tindal, and Samuel Tindal; great grandchild, Waylon Reid Gilkerson; brother, Milton Newton Roberts, Jr.; sister, Yvonne (Roberts) Terry; niece, Lacey Terry; nephew, Trey Terry; great niece, Ambreia Middleton.
She is predeceased by her parents, Milton and Laura Roberts; sister, Darlene Tager.
We will have a Celebration of Life ceremony for Wanda, 3 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, 609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
